Biography
Fashion is like a carrier of memory and time to me, conveying an experience of whom we wish to be. I'm intrigued by investigating the heritage of Chinese culture. Exploring the balance between the strength of the human spirit with an openness to fragility. My recent collection is inspired by serene natural settings such as sunlight passing through forest fog, using fabric exploration of dyeing, machine embroidery, and quilting with blurred soft colors to show a natural texture and the trace of time. I derive influence from designers such as Geoffrey Beene, Pierre Cardin, and Helmut Lang. Taking inspiration from casual less formal tailoring and fusing it with the structured shapes of sportswear such as motorcycling, billiards, and skydiving, combined with elements from traditional Chinese culture like Chinese rope knot, ancient garden, and Ink Painting to reveal woman's quiet and natural sense of power.
